It's a food-move as polarising as marmite and as controversial as pineapple on pizza.... ketchup.... on your Christmas dinner?! Heinz Ketchup is one of the most popular condiments, year-round. Well, nearly. It’s common knowledge that sales of the red stuff usually takes a bit of a backseat when the gravy boat comes out to play on Christmas Day. Except for the brave few… To keep it flying off the shelf this festive season, our Heinz Ketchup spec ad utilises the authority of the antihero, gives power to the audacious…. and upsets your nan. Perfect 364 days a year? We'll see about that. #bethesauceofcontroversy ----- To show off our spec ad, we sent out some mini-ketchups direct to Heinz HQ, fit with a QR code linking through to the video. Heinz were impressed! They loved our approach and were impressed with the on point branding and tone of voice (especially since they didn't brief anything).
As chosen by the Chair of our panel: Pancho González, co-founder and chief creative officer of Inbrax.
