Chennai-born and bred, Shivram was brought up by a family of cricket-loving snake charmers, and rode an elephant to school.

Shivram Gopinath is creative director, founding member, and resident grump at UltraSuperNew Singapore, and is in the midst of scrambling to create work for the likes of Martell, Puma and Unilever. He is also co-curator of USN gallery, an interactive space that serves as a launchpad for emerging Asian artists, designers and innovators.

Shivram is a twice-winning Singapore National Poetry Slam Champion, and widely credited for inventing velcro and English.
