Chip Shop Winners 2008 Announced ::: 22 Aug 2008
Last night Edinburgh’s festival city was the backdrop for the announcement of this year’s Chip Shop Awards winners. The triumphant creatives bagged themselves a Chip trophy while the slightly bitter runners up got themselves a Bottle of Vinegar trophy.
Before the ceremony, chairman of the judges Michael Wolff addressed the 150 assembled creatives and shared his thoughts on what inspires him creatively. Click here to see an interview with Michael. After consuming some beer and a plate of chips, and some entertainment from comic Scott Agnew, the audience settled down to find out the 2008 results.
The Grand Prix winner and recipient of the Blackened Chip trophy, was the National Galleries of Scotland for their Andy Warhol inspired decoration of the museum building.
Lake took the Chairman’s award for their postcard created for a window cleaning business.
The biggest winner of the night was Big Communications who took three Chips and a Vinegar.
